SCCM Client Actions Tool v1.0 is the latest release.

It comes with following changes since last version:
  • Added automatic SCCM CAT update check on startup. Can be controlled by "checkUpdates" parameter in config.ini.
  • Optionally save offline computers in a file for later use. Can be controlled by "saveOfflineComputers" parameter in config.ini.
  • Optionally prompt whether to execute command if user is logged on remote computer. Can be controlled by "promptUserCheck" parameter in config.ini.
  • Optionally install SCCM client automatically if found missing or broken during full health check or when version is older than expected. Can be controlled by "autoInstallClientWhenMissing" parameter in config.ini.
  • Added action "Get management point".
  • Added action "Change FSP server".
  • Added action "Change SLP server".
  • Added action "Create and send CCR Files".
  • Added action "Check & Fix client version".
  • Added action "Reset security settings".
  • Added action "Query reboot pending state".
  • Added action "Get system uptime".
  • Added action "Get WUA version".
  • Added action "Get WSUS content location".
  • Consider computers with WMI connectivity issues as unhealthy.
  • Fixed unhealthy target list prompt bug.
  • Rearranged actions in 2 columns for more efficient use of space.
  • Fixed a bug when "Open client log folder" actions appeared when target list was empty.
  • Changed log area to resize based on the size on application window.

The tool is downloadable as a ZIP file that contains four files:
ClientActionsTool.hta – The tool itself.
Cmdkey.exe – command line tool for managing cached credentials. This is needed for alternate credentials feature when running the HTA on Windows XP. Cmdkey.exe is natively available starting from Windows Vista.
Wol.exe - command line tool from Gammadyne Corporation to send wake up packets to remote computers.
Config.ini – A configuration file for default settings. This file is not required to run the tool, but if it doesn’t exist, the tool may prompt for the data every time it’s run.

Only the HTA file is necessary to use this tool. After all, the concept of the tool is simplicity – “one click to rule them all” sort of thing. However, having cmdkey.exe in same folder is a requirement for using alternate credentials when running the HTA on Windows XP. The config.ini file improves usability by keeping default settings for every run.

Make sure you know what one or another action does before initiating it on workstations in production environment! Some of the actions have been explained in documentation.
